Job Description
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth as a Youth Care Professional at Southern California Treatment Program in Torrance and San Pedro, CA. Requirements
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, respect, and a genuine desire to work with troubled teens
- Be at least 21 years old, pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test
- Possess a current State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years
- Have relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice, either as a mentor or caregiver
- Possess one of the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Child Development Teaching Permit, 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Psychology, certification as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, or one year of full-time experience in a group home, therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program
