Youth Care Professional - Orange County

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Professional at Southern California Treatment Program in Tustin, Placentia, and Costa Mesa, CA. You will provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for our residential youth and promote an atmosphere that is professional and supportive.

Requirements

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, respect, and a genuine desire to work with troubled teens
• Be at least 21 years old
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test
• Possess a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years
• Have relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice
• Possess one of the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Child Development Teaching Permit, 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Psychology, certification as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, or one year of full-time experience in a group home, therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program
