Machine Operator

Role Overview

A press operator in manufacturing is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that shape, cut, or form materials like metal into specific parts or products. They ensure that the machines run smoothly, monitor the production process, make adjustments as needed, and perform quality checks on the finished products to meet specifications.

What You Will Do

Operate and monitor manual and automatic punch presses to fabricate precision metal stampings. Inspect parts for surface imperfections, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to workmanship standards.

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometer, protractor, height gage, gauge pins and drop through gauges
