
Job description
As a Carrier Sales Specialist at RXO, you will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role includes participation in RXO's dedicated Peak Project supporting Local or Expedite accounts from November 10 through December 24. During this assignment, team members will support a critical 24/7 customer operation in a fast-paced environment.
Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight. Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process. Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times while considering factors such as weather, traffic, mileage, and service requirements.
At a minimum, you’ll need 1 year of sales experience. It’d be great if you also have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience, 1 year of transportation experience, and 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
