Senior GCP Data Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior GCP Data Engineer at RXO, you'll play a key role in accomplishing team goals such as data centralization, data governance, and data integrity. You'll lead component design and development, work with data science, development, and business analytics teams to design scalable data solutions ensuring quality and performance.

What You Will Do

Design and build large-scale automated and cost-efficient data pipelines, make key architectural decisions, work with complex queries, implement scalable data frameworks, and mentor junior engineers.

You'll need a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, 7 years of experience as a data engineer, and proficiency with Cloud offerings primarily with GCP.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 7 years of experience as a data engineer or comparable business intelligence role
• 5 years of experience with Datalake architecture and implementation
• 5 years of experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL, Postgres, or Oracle
• 4 years of experience with NoSQL databases such as Capella or MongoDB
• 5 years of Python experience or similar
• Proficiency with Cloud offerings primarily with GCP (Azure or AWS is acceptable)
