Paleontological Monitor

Role Overview

We are a global group of the Ibex 35 looking for a Paleontological Monitor to work in the Vial Project in Chile. The work requires performing functions in the Quality and Environment department, involving constant interaction with the work team, high memory capacity, attention, concentration, and analysis.

What You Will Do

Responsible for finding sites, carefully unearthing fossils, sieving material, and preparing it for transportation. Manage the cleaning, restoration, and analysis of fossils or other materials to determine their origin, age, and era.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for a profile with a professional degree in Geology, Biology, or related field, with experience in paleontology. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in similar positions, solid knowledge of patrimonial and environmental legislation, and experience in technical reporting and reports.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Geology, Biology, or related field
• 5 years of experience in paleontology
• Experience in paleontological rescue methodologies
• Handling of packaging, conservation, cataloging, and analysis of recovered materials
• Solid knowledge of patrimonial and environmental legislation
• Experience in technical reporting and reports
• Valid license and experience in 4x4 driving
• Handling of GPS and SIG
