Product Development Engineer

Samtec is seeking a Product Development Engineer to design and develop solutions for connector solutions (board-to-board, cable, power, panel mount, RF, and flexible components). The role involves contribution to all stages of product development from market needs to quality and risk mitigation, with the option to travel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in design/development/manufacturing of complex assemblies
• Proficient in MS Office Applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience in data analysis (Minitab and/or JMP are ideal)
• Experience in electrical connector design
• Plastic injection molding, and progressive die stamping experience is desired
• 3D software experience is required
• Solid understanding and application of physics and engineering fundamentals
• Proven problem solver - demonstrated experience of data-driven root cause analysis
• Lifting requirements: Medium Work – Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist.
