Job Description
Utilize Mastercam to create machine programs, design and create fixtures, work with CNC operators, and drive process improvement.
Requirements
- Utilize Mastercam to create machine programs
- Create setup sheets for repeat jobs
- Design and create fixtures as required for jobs, and train operators in their use
- Work with CNC operators to expand their understanding of machining process
- Utilize knowledge of machining process to adjust feeds and speeds to reduce process time
- Work with the CNC operators to meet expectations for productivity, OTD, and quality goals
- Keep process moving, and alert management when production is inhibited
- Drive process improvement on the floor through continuous improvement of manufacturing process
- Work with fabrication manager to determine run time and tooling costs for new jobs
