Job Description
Temporary Elections Technician Assistant position to assist with various tasks in the Registrar of Voters office, including data entry, document reception, and public assistance.
Requirements
- Learn to verify codes and enter information into data entry system
- Assist in maintaining master file of registered voters, street index and other elections files
- Greet and assist public and candidates at counter and over the telephone
- Direct phone calls to appropriate individuals and take messages as needed
- Train to use a variety of office machines such as data entry terminal, typewriter, computer printers, adding machine, calculator, copy machine, ballot card and microfiche reader
- Perform basic computations and calculations, compute and collect fees, issue receipts, sell maps and voter indices, and accept filing fees
- Type and file letters, reports, forms, memoranda and other materials, and proofread typewritten and other material
