Job Description
Scout Motors is seeking a Tire Testing & Tuning Engineer to join their team, a legacy brand of rugged SUVs and other vehicles that have forged the path for innovation in the electric pick-up truck and SUV markets. The role involves leading tire testing and tuning, analyzing test data, collaborating with internal teams to optimize performance, and supporting virtual development through simulation. They value a proactive, collaborative, and adaptable individual.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics and tire development
- Strong understanding of tire mechanics, tire evaluation criteria, suspension kinematics, and impact on vehicle performance
- Experience with multibody simulation tools (e.g., ADAMS Car, CarSim)
- Hands-on experience with vehicle testing on public roads and proving grounds
