Staff Engineer, Early Engagement

Second Order Effects (SOE) is an engineering consulting firm seeking a Staff Engineer to lead early engagement efforts and drive complex system development. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical leader, architecting systems and mentoring engineers to achieve technical excellence.

Requirements

• 15+ years of engineering experience in client-facing roles, system architecture, or senior technical leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and deconstruct novel and complex problems
• Deep experience applying systems engineering principles in ambiguous, early-stage environments
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
