Armed Special Police Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Armed Special Police Officer with an active SPO Armed License and 9MM firearm certification. The role requires excellent customer service skills, ability to walk and stand for extended periods, and proficiency in firearm safety.

Requirements

• Active SPO Armed license or ability to obtain
• Minimum seven (7) years of armed security, military (armed forces), or law enforcement experience
• 9mm/Shotgun Certification
• Firearms proficiency to include the ability to disassemble, clean, and reassemble
• Proficient in firearm safety
• Experienced in situational awareness & observation
• Ability to make fast and sound decisions, particularly in high stress situations
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required for report writing
• Problem solving ability to investigate incidents, gather details, and escalate security challenges
• Be able to make quick and efficient decisions without supervision present
• Be fluent in use-of-force techniques
• Be knowledgeable about the current events in the DC area

• Physical Endurance: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
