Extrusion Operator

Extrusion Operator responsible for performing routine inspections, equipment settings, and quality control measures to produce high-quality products. Requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Requirements

• Perform routine inspections of line to insure quality product
• Verify equipment settings are correct
• Thread/Tie in line following correct procedure
• Doffs, ties, and inspects all finished packages for defects
• Apply correct product label on each finished package
• Prepare pallets, boxes, tops, bottoms, and dividers for direct packout
• Perform color changes following correct procedure
• Responsible for proper shutdown/startup procedure
• Maintains accurate records of all downtime
• Performs minor mechanical repair work as needed
