Job Description
Join Sift as a Staff Backend Engineer and contribute to building a real-time telemetry platform from the ground up. As an early engineer, you'll design and build horizontally scalable platforms, develop durable database solutions, and pioneer data architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or another STEM discipline
- 7+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or data engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with event-time-based stream processing or streaming SQL systems
- Proficiency with relational and time-series databases
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems or low-latency backend services
- Familiarity with DevOps and cloud infrastructure tools
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
