Editorial Intern, Quanta Books

Quanta Books is seeking an editorial intern to join their team for the summer of 2026. The internship is a 32-hour-per-week position that involves reading submissions, coordinating outreach and events, and completing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has a background or interest in science and mathematics, reads omnivorously, and aspires to a career in book publishing.

Requirements

• Manage the general imprint inbox and evaluate unsolicited submissions
• Conduct research and create awards database for future award submissions
• Assist with researching, formatting, and pitching ideas for the Quanta Books newsletter
• Draft social media copy
• Support outreach and event planning related to the publication of our 2026 list
• Conduct research on acquisition topics, potential authors, comparative titles, and audience
• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required
