On-Call Sanitation and Safety Steward

Skidmore College is seeking an On-Call Sanitation and Safety Steward to clean, maintain, and perform duties such as dish washing, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining facility cleanliness. The position involves operating dish washing equipment and assisting with various custodial tasks, providing a safe and efficient work environment for cleaning and supporting the College.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
• Attend Serv-Safe/HACCP course within one year of employment.
• Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to speak and listen effectively with supervisors, customers, and employees of the College
• Ability to maintain an appropriate image and dress.
