Job Description
We are seeking Personal Support Workers (PSW) to assist palliative patients with personal care and activities of daily living. You will work as part of a tight-knit collaborative team to enhance quality of life, comfort, dignity and security in patients' end of life journey.
Requirements
- Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program
- RN/RPN Student with minimum successful completion of year-one of the program
- Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife or Physician
- Minimum 1 year experience with palliative patients
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care or Core Concepts of Fundamentals for PSWs
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Current Police check suitable for working with the vulnerable sector
- G2/G License with access to a vehicle
- Must possess the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities
