CONTROLLER

STAR Financial Bank is an Indiana-based community bank seeking a Controller to lead its accounting function. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supervising accounting staff, and maintaining internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and experience in bank accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA designation.
• A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience including at least 7 years in an accounting management role.
• At least 5 years of bank accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in organizing, conducting, and controlling the budgeting process.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
