The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for implementing and reporting back on the goals and interventions listed in clients' recovery plans. The CNA also conducts therapeutic activities on the unit; assists with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, weighing, and walking clients; obtains and records vital signs; monitors clients on close visual observation such as 1:1 and Q15 minute checks; documents in charts and on forms; participates in preventing and managing psychiatric and medical emergencies; and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit by adhering to state and federal guidelines and by applying the principles of recovery and trauma-informed care.
