An Information Technology (IT) Auditor participates in the audit, analysis, and testing of IT controls across all layers of computing environments as well as end-user processes and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting and 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in excess of those required for a 4-year baccalaureate degree
- Knowledge of accounting, auditing, and other relevant professional standards
- Knowledge of IT system requirements
- Knowledge of research techniques
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and other administrative requirements
- Skill in the use of a personal computer
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle confidential information
