The National Product Safety Manager oversees the Field Safety Group and is responsible for safety recall and noncompliance recall reporting, NHTSA investigations, and industry group participation. - Flexibility to adapt to changing regulatory and administrative initiatives
- Technical knowledge of Subaru vehicles (particularly the most recent fifteen model years), including active and passive safety technologies and defect analysis
- Strong knowledge of Subaru Corporation (SBR) quality systems and processes, including GM218 and FAST review processes
- Excellent strategic negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Japanese staff (verbally, non-verbally, and in writing) and accommodate Japanese business culture
