Mechanical Technician

Role Overview

This role is responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer field locations. This function performs a variety of maintenance and technical support tasks and may provide on-site training for customer support personnel.

What You Will Do

Identify improvements in Sulzer equipment, install and remove rotating equipment, assemble and start-up sealing systems, and perform various maintenance and technical support tasks.

The ideal candidate will have practical and theoretical knowledge in mechanical adjustment, basic operation of operator machines, and dimensional control. They will also have knowledge of mechanical technical drawing and office packages.

Requirements

• Complete Mechanical Technician
• Practical and theoretical knowledge in the assembly of bearings, mechanical adjustment by gap and interference
• Knowledge in basic operation of operator machines, metrology, and use of measurement instruments
• Knowledge in dimensional control with issuance of report
• Reading and interpretation of mechanical technical drawing
• Basic knowledge in office package for issuance of reports
• Knowledge of moorings, elevations, and cargo transportation
• Basic knowledge of pumps
