Job Description
Experienced Surface Grinder to produce premium quality, high precision carbide cutting tools using tool grinding machines and programs.
Requirements
- Set up and operate surface grinders, cylindrical grinder, to hold to the high-quality machine standards.
- Grind external or internal cylindrical tapered surfaces.
- Finish surfaces of work pieces, using prescribed equipment, grinding wheels and utilizing hand tools.
- Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.
- Read and follow process sheets and drawing to perform machining operations.
- Set up grind machines to run specific jobs.
- Inspecting dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices, ensuring that surfaces and measurements meet specifications.
- Maintains tools, gages and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
