Requirements

• Sterile techniques in the surgical suite
• Preparation of the operating room, sterile field/table for planned procedure
• Anticipating needs of the surgical team and providing appropriate instrumentation when needed
• Participating in patient identification and preparation for surgical procedure
• Segregating and disposing of hazardous waste
• Maintaining physician preference cards and accurate reporting
