Uni Internship Jun to Dec 2026 - Development of a Medical Event Foundation Model

Join Synapxe as an intern and contribute to powering a healthier Singapore by developing a medical event foundation model for healthcare applications. You'll work on a project that involves data cleaning, harmonisation, preprocessing, and model evaluation, and engage with multiple stakeholders in the public health space.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Graduating in Dec 2026 or May 2027
• Proficiency in python programming language for data processing and model development
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (pytorch)
• Familiarity with transformer architecture training and fine-tuning techniques
• Familiarity with git and github repositories
• Ability to document comprehensively and rigorously project materials, including literature articles, code, results, findings, and slides
• Ability to communicate effectively and present results and findings
• Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven
• Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
