Principal Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the team on the HS2 project. The role involves overseeing the integration of Electrical and Plant design with other disciplines, collaborating with global multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring MEP deliverables adhere to SYSTRA policies and quality management systems.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding project requirements, schedules, and budgets, leading the team to produce timely and accurate deliverables, and collaborating with specialist engineering teams to ensure design work is delivered in accordance with engineering best practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in MEP design and coordination for large scale metro rail / infrastructure projects
• Professional certification (CEng/PE or equivalent) preferred
• Track record of successful MEP design delivery on international projects (UK, Europe, Middle East preferred)
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
• Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decision and be a good troubleshooter
• Working Experience in Metro rail design,Proficient in ElectricalOM, Dialux etc..
