Job Description
Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a Sushi Chef to join their team at TAO Restaurant in Chicago. The position involves supervising daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to growth opportunities. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, along with exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previously Sushi sous/cook experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous Culinary supervisory/management experience within a high-volume kitchen setting
- Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong menu planning, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skills required
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS, and technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
