Planner, Mill Maintenance

Role Overview

The Mill Maintenance planner will be responsible for the planning of shut down and daily maintenance tasks in one or more of the following areas: crushing, conveyors, grinding, flotation, filtering/drying, reclaim, leaching as well as other areas of the milling complex. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, the role is part of the Teck team, a leading Canadian resource company focused on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition.

What You Will Do

Develop job/plan packages with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling and execution of work, verify the scope of work to be performed is accurately captured on work orders, determine tasks and sequence necessary to accomplish work, identify health and safety risks for each task with required permitting, and develop adequate work instructions for each task.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent
• Recognized trade qualification, technical diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and procedures
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system
• Must have Gr.12 or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver’s license
