TELUS Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuarial Consultant to join their team. The consultant will play a vital role in designing and managing defined benefit pension plans for clients, ensuring long-term sustainability while meeting the needs of employers and employees.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in pension plan consulting
- Professional actuarial exams and certifications such as CAIA, CFA, CEBS, FLMI, ACS, ASA, ACIIN, ALHC, FSA, AICA, FCIA, CEBP, PLP, CERA, MAAA, HIA, FRM
- Knowledge of the various pension schemes and actuarial standards of practice including pension plan evaluation, financial projections, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to develop relationships at the highest levels of client organizations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; supporting the growth and mentorship of junior team members
- Solid organization, time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to meet performance targets within a practice area
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
