Referral Coordinator

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market, processing patient referrals, facilitating orders, and coordinating scheduling. They also assist patients with finding resources that accept various insurances and obtain pre-authorization from payers.

Requirements

• Process patient referral
• Facilitate orders outside to outside facilities
• Answer telephones in a prompt and courteous manner
• Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient
• Assist patient with finding resources that accept the various insurances
• Obtain pre-authorization from payers
• Call insurance companies to get medications approved
• Manage, copy, and review medical records to ensure accuracy
