Assistant Manager - Application Engineering

Assistant Manager - Application Engineering role involves studying and understanding application environment for HOT gaskets, Cold Gaskets and Heat shields, working out design proposals, and coordinating with customers and internal departments.

Requirements

• Study and understand application environment for all HOT gaskets, Cold Gaskets and Heat shields
• Study / prepare part drawings considering engine /package boundary conditions
• Work out design proposals, review with the global team and submit to customer
• Co-ordinate for manufacturing feasibility
• DVP finalization with customers
• Co-ordinate with the customers – sales team- internal departments like purchase, production, quality, maintenance
• Return Part analysis
• Visiting customers as per calendar to generate new business opportunities
• Visiting customers to attend functional quality issues
• Benchmarking of competitor parts
• Participate in White Space analysis with team
• Knowledge & capability to handle IATF systems/documentation responsibility for Engineering dept.
• Working knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes.
• Team coordination & management
