Sr. Engineering Technician I

At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting.

Requirements

• Initiate and perform defined technical activities such as performing studies and tests which support engineering.
• Develop and implement technical projects to improve products, processes, or technologies on a project basis.
• Maintain compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
• Develop, procure, construct, evaluate and validate new equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Perform operational tests and identify failure modes.
• Collect, document, and analyze test data.
• Operate a wide range of lab equipment including set-up, clean-up, break-down, and re-assembly.
• Train, coach, and guide lower-level employees on new procedures, assess work techniques, and provide feedback to engineers on procedures.
• Design and build simple fixtures, using sketches, CAD, etc.
• Perform test method development and validation for equipment.
• Create and modify drawings and procedures for fixtures, equipment, products, or processes.
• Initiate ECRs (Engineering Change Request).
