The Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education is the chief academic administrator of the College and its four Divisions. The Dean will provide strategic and visionary leadership for the College, including the development of new programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in a discipline housed within the College
- A record of successful administrative experience and leadership in a university setting
- Demonstrated evidence of administrative knowledge and skills/abilities
- Record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service
- Minimum of ten years teaching experience in higher education
- Evidence of commitment to student-centered education
- Experience with academic and professional accreditation processes
- Demonstrated excellence in research resulting in publication
- Commitment to research, performance, and experiential learning
- Experience with student recruitment
- Experience with undergraduate and graduate-level curriculum development, program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues and areas throughout the university
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
