Job Description
The company is seeking an exceptional Gameplay Engineer to help craft their next-generation social game. This role focuses on designing, writing, debugging, and refining gameplay systems, prioritizing user engagement and a polished user interface. It requires strong problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and collaboration within a team environment.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of relevant programming experience in the game industry
- Excellent 3D Vector Math Skills
- Knowledge and usage of a 3D art tool such as Maya
- Experience building gameplay systems/building blocks for designers
- Careful attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Responds well to feedback and criticism
- Fluent in C, C++, or C#
- Experience with scripting languages and data formats (LUA, JSON etc)
- Experience with MMOs
- Familiarity with backend languages (Go, Erlang, PL/SQL)
- Experience with persistent account data management
- Experience with synchronous multiplayer
- Experience with live service multiplayer games
- Experience with mobile games
