BRIDGE/STRUCTURAL FOREMAN

We are searching for a Structures Foreman to provide direct in-field supervision of a bridge & structures crew working on all phases of a heavy highway/civil concrete or steel structure and/or various other related construction projects.

Requirements

• Ensure crew maintains professional relations with Owner, Engineer, and other members of the team.
• Build job by plans and specifications as directed by supervisor.
• Assure the proper storage of materials and rented equipment, including regular checks of job for material and equipment inventory.
• Assure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment under their control, including appropriate applications for the respective equipment.
• Recognize and immediately report any requests for extra work.
• Prepare or assist the Superintendent in the preparation of daily reports, work unit quantity reports, equipment reports, and receipt of materials.
• Assure quality control and contract compliance of grading activity under his/her supervision.
• Is in direct charge of safety and accident control for structures crew.
• Participate in safety meetings and the implementation of effective safety programs and communication of Miss Utility policy.
• Cooperate with Corporate Safety managers to ensure OSHA compliance at jobsites.
• Assist in conducting post-incident investigations.
• Identify and recommend workers for consideration for potential career growth opportunities.
• Responsible for training and development of workers.
• Attend End-of-shift meetings and is prepared to discuss coordination & operation issues.
• Regularly conduct effective morning meetings.
• Participate in Weekly Team Meeting and help develop the weekly work plan.
• Promote work environment that fosters good employee morale with emphasis on mutual respect.
