Do you enjoy working in a diverse and multipurpose environment? The Youth Peer Support Specialist will act as a support and resource for youth with serious emotional disturbances who are receiving services in the behavioral health system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- MDCH Certified Peer Support Specialist within 6 months of hire and maintain throughout employment
- Must be between the age of 18-24 years old, current or prior involvement with the public mental health, child welfare, special education, and/or juvenile justice systems
- Possess knowledge of community services and resources including accessibility to public transportation
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of youth
