Job description
The Senior Security Specialist acts as a first responder for emergencies, evacuations, and active shooter incidents supporting the Guardian home office location in New York City. This is an armed, on-site position with daily responsibilities for processing visitors, assisting colleagues, monitoring access control alarms, and cameras, collaborating closely with building security, and conducting building tours.
Respond to emergencies, interact with law enforcement, provide a courteous and professional interaction with associates and visitors, check for unsafe conditions, prepare logs or reports, document incidents, have control access to Guardian facilities, monitor entrances and exits, perform investigations, conduct site visits, and perform threat/risk assessments.
This role requires 5 years of proven experience in Law Enforcement or Corporate Security roles, experience in Emergency Response and First Responder services, strong Customer Service Skills, excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to remain calm and take control during emergency situations.
