Youth Development Professional - North Mabee Red Shield Youth Center

The Salvation Army is seeking a Youth Development Professional to work at the North Mabee Red Shield Youth Center in North Tulsa, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D., experience working with children and youth, and a commitment to professional development. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating activities for youth, as well as supervising members and evaluating program effectiveness.

• Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports in an accurate and complete manner
• Ability to support and coordinate activities and events
• Ability to clearly communicate roles and responsibilities to individuals and groups
• Ability to schedule meetings
• Ability to interact with co-workers, volunteers, and the public in a positive, professional manner
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
• Ability to operate and generally maintain all office equipment
• Proficiency with Windows & Microsoft Office 365
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred
• Commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan
• Valid DL (if possible)
• Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations and follow emergency procedures
• Ability to multi-task, ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a safe and effective manners
• Ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner
• Ability to meet attendance requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
• Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints
