Job Description
The plant operator is responsible for using industrial motorized carts, front loaders or other equipment to move, locate, re-locate, stack, count inventory, move finished products on pallets, including loading/unloading trucks and trailers, prepare organic mixes using heavy equipment loader, push or re-locate piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supply production with a continuous supply of materials. Monitor inventory to prevent excessive heat, turn inventory, extinguish small fires and ensure the appropriate amount of water is used to prepare inventory for production.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have at least one year of experience operating a PIT or other heavy equipment
- Must be able to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, and division
- Must be able to read and write
- Must be able to complete inspection forms before starting shift
- Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes safety
