Thiess is seeking an IT Specialist to provide quality IT services to offices and projects across North America, leveraging global support teams to deliver reliable technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, at least 5 years of experience in network engineering, system diagnostics, and customer support, and strong understanding of cloud applications.
Requirements
- Provide quality IT support for projects and offices, leveraging Global support teams, and ensuring appropriate structure to enable projects and support growth
- Collaboration & engagement with Global IT and technology teams, and North American users / stakeholders across projects and regional areas
- Proactively review the services being provided to ensure they are fit for purpose, cost effective and perform adequately
- Ensure all systems and network services are available when required by the business and are performing as expected
- Day to day administration of Thiess Systems and associated hardware, and user accounts
- Install and implement hardware and software on Local Area Networks and standalone workstations, providing initial customer instruction where necessary
- Management of inventory of hardware including cell phones
- Ensure IT compliance and governance across the region, in accordance with Group policies
- Scope, develop, design, mobilize and establish new projects including co-ordination of tender pricing
- Promote & support technology initiatives, providing technical advice and support to internal/external staff when required
- Work with stakeholders to understand needs and opportunities, and engage Global teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned
