Job Description
Surgical technologists assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, setting up equipment, and providing necessary supplies.
Requirements
- Count sponges, needles, and other surgical materials
- Help transport patients to and from the operating room
- Assist with post-operative care, such as dressing changes and wound monitoring
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records
- Prepare the operating room and set up sterile equipment
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, retracting tissue, and providing supplies
- Maintain a sterile field and monitor infection control measures
