Senior Software Engineer, Ranking Engineering

TikTok is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Ranking Engineering, to join their Recommendation Architecture Team. This team is responsible for building and optimizing the architecture for TikTok's recommendation system, ensuring a stable and high-quality user experience for millions of users worldwide. The role involves architecting, building, and optimizing large-scale ranking systems, collaborating with ML engineers, analyzing system bottlenecks, and driving technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in building large-scale recommendation, ranking, or search systems.
• Experience in C++, Go, or Python, and with distributed computing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of ranking algorithms, machine learning inference systems, and system performance optimization.
