Financial Controller

Role Overview

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team in Madrid, Spain. The role will involve controlling, analyzing, and anticipating the evolution of the company's costs in a highly complex environment and under multiple accounting frameworks.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include monthly closing of costs, in-depth analysis of expenses, development of follow-up and analysis reports, end-to-end monitoring of cost evolution, and anticipation of deviations from the Budget.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in ADE, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics, and between 6 and 8 years of experience in financial departments.

Requirements

• University degree in ADE, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics
• Between 6 and 8 years of experience in financial departments
• Business / Cost Control experience
• Financial auditing experience, preferably in the insurance sector or in complex financial environments
• Solid knowledge of P&L structure, analytical accounting, and cost allocation and sharing models
• Practical experience in IFRS 17 environments
• Advanced user of SAP S/4HANA, with special focus on Controlling module (CO) and Analytical accounting
• Advanced level of Office package, with advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint
• Advanced level of English
