DevOps Team Lead

Role Overview

Lead the Developer Experience (DevEx) central hub, responsible for improving how engineers build, test, and ship software across the organisation. The focus is simple: remove friction, increase productivity, and ensure the developer platform is secure, reliable, and scalable.

What You Will Do

Lead and develop the DevEx central team, setting direction, priorities, and standards. Define and deliver the roadmap for developer platform capabilities (CI/CD, deployment, developer portals). Champion developer productivity across engineering, continuously identifying and removing friction.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading technical teams in DevOps, SRE, or Developer Experience
• Strong track record improving developer productivity at scale
• Experience operating in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
• Deep understanding of software delivery practices, including CI/CD (Azure DevOps and Github), infrastructure-as-code, and container platforms
• Repository configuration and management (Nexus)
• Strong knowledge across CI/CD and deployment patterns, Kubernetes and containerised workloads, Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform), Source control and build systems, Solid scripting or programming skills (PowerShell)
• Understanding of security fundamentals in the software delivery lifecycle (e.g. identity, access, supply chain security)
