Linux Systems Engineer (USA)

We are seeking a hands-on Linux Systems Engineer to build, maintain, and scale our on-premise infrastructure. This role is focused on bare-metal Linux systems, with significant ownership across server provisioning, storage, and system reliability.

Requirements

• Build, provision, and maintain bare-metal Linux servers
• Own server infrastructure from hardware through operating system and core services
• Configure and manage storage systems
• Monitor system health and performance
• Troubleshoot issues and implement durable, long-term fixes
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and Bash
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and capacity planning
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system reliability
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices
• Support data center operations
• Travel to data centers periodically
