Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist assists physicians by treating patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation supplied and controlled through specialized radiation equipment according to established policies.

Requirements

• Registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist
• Completion of a minimum of two years of occupationally specific education beyond high school or associate's degree in Radiography or a closely related field plus three to six months of on-the-job training
• The analytical ability to resolve complex problems requiring the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge
