Job Description
The YMCA is hiring Lifeguards to provide a safe atmosphere for pool users and enforce rules. Lifeguards are responsible for preventing accidents, providing emergency care, and maintaining pool areas. The position requires consistent enforcement of pool rules and effective communication with patrons. Lifeguards will be responsible for lifeguard duties such as water rescue, equipment inspection, and lifeguard training.
Requirements
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Lifeguarding standards
- Safe water rescue and emergency care experience
- Basic math and writing skills
- Physical fitness
- Background check, child abuse prevention, bloodborne pathogens, Lifeguarding ARC or YMCA certifications
