ELV Assistant Technician

The ELV Assistant Technician supports the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including CCTV, Structured Cabling, Public Address (PA) systems, Access Control systems, and Audio systems. The role involves assisting senior technicians and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Requirements

• Technical or electrical diploma (2-year degree) or completion of an electrical apprenticeship
• 2–4 years of experience in ELV installations or construction site support
• Basic technical knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, and Structured Cabling systems
• Ability to assist with cable pulling, device installation, termination, and testing activities
• Experience in using hand and power tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment
• Understanding of ELV testing procedures and inspection requirements
• Familiarity with site safety rules, HSE compliance, and good housekeeping practices
• Ability to follow drawings, instructions, and work schedules accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within site teams
• Strong work ethic with focus on quality, productivity, and meeting daily targets
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and improve technical knowledge
