Community Mortgage Loan Officer

The Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) will originate residential mortgage loans in the secondary market, providing a broader range of products and enhancing the bank’s fee-based income. The MLO will develop referral relationships with realtors, builders, and other partners to generate residential mortgages and maintain an active loan pipeline. The role involves identifying client needs, analyzing loan opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Meet with customers to identify needs and sell mortgage loan programs.
• Interview applicants and request required documentation.
• Analyze loan data, analyze loan opportunities, and advise customers on risks and benefits.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of underwriting guidelines.
• Obtain loan packages for final underwriting approval.
• Manage NMLS training and ensure compliance.
