Pediatric Hospitalist APP

Role Overview

UnityPoint Health is recruiting a Pediatric Hospitalist APP to join their team in Des Moines, IA. The role involves providing routine care and management of hospitalized patients in the newborn nursery and inpatient pediatric coverage. The position requires a 1.0 FTE with a rotating schedule, including day and night shifts.

What You Will Do

Provide routine care and management of hospitalized patients, recognize situations requiring immediate physician attention, document findings, and maintain EMR documentation. Utilize data to identify areas of improvement and design initiatives to positively impact patient care.

Requirements

• PNP-AC
• One or more years of experience as a nurse in pediatrics preferred
• Current Iowa License to practice as a Registered Nurse and as an ARNP
• Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
• NRP & PALS
• Valid driver's license
